Physis PEB and Chiaravalli Group: Italian Talent and Sustainable Innovation at the 2026 Monaco Energy Boat Challenge

An outstanding week for Physis PEB, the Politecnico di Milano student team, at the 2026 Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, the international competition dedicated to sustainable boating technologies, which concluded on July 11 at the Yacht Club de Monaco.

The team delivered remarkable results:

25.2 knots in the speed trial, a new on-water record for Physis PEB
80 laps in the endurance race on a single battery charge, supported by solar panels
Second place in the manoeuvrability trial
Innovation Prize for the automatic boat trim control system
Physis PEB also secured third place in the Energy Class, competing against 21 teams from more than 10 countries.

As Platinum Sponsor, Chiaravalli Group is proud to support a team of students who embody excellence within excellence: the talent, dedication and technical culture of Politecnico di Milano.

Physis PEB is more than a university racing team. It is an advanced learning laboratory where engineering, design, architecture and sustainability come together to create real solutions for the future of marine mobility. The PB526 prototype, featuring a self-supporting monocoque frame, integrated motor tower and active trim control system, reflects months of research, design, testing and teamwork.

At Chiaravalli Group, we believe in the power of collaboration between industry and academia. Supporting young talent means investing in skills, innovation and the future. It means helping the next generation of engineers and designers turn bold ideas into high-performance, sustainable technologies.

Congratulations to the entire Physis PEB team for these exceptional achievements. We are proud to be part of your journey.
